UI Designer – Building Frictionless Healthcare Access with Empathy and Pixels!
Location: Latin America Remote
We are TeamStation AI, and we're searching for an exceptional UI Designer to join one of our innovative partners in the Healthcare industry. This isn't just about polished visuals; it's about making a profound, real-world difference by translating complex healthcare journeys into intuitive, accessible, and deeply compassionate experiences. If you thrive on clarity, care about empathy, and are ready to own a world-class design system, this is your next station.
What You’ll Do (Where Empathy Meets Design Systems)
You will be the core contributor to the visual language of our partner's products, working in tight, agile collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Own the Design System: Take on the critical role of maintaining and evolving the core design system, built on Material Design principles, ensuring unparalleled consistency and scalability across patient, provider, and staff applications.
- Design for Impact: Create and deliver the full spectrum of design artifacts, from initial low-fidelity wireframes and user flows to high-fidelity, polished prototypes, all directly within Figma.
- Enforce Dev-Ready Discipline: Prepare Figma files with meticulous organization—think clean structure, well-defined components, Auto Layouts, design tokens, and clear annotations—for a seamless, friction-free handoff to the engineering team.
- Practice Empathetic Design: Design with a deep understanding of diverse user personas in healthcare—patients, providers, and administrative staff—always focusing on accessibility (WCAG standards) and reducing workflow friction.
- Future-Proof the Interface: Actively explore and experiment with AI-powered prototyping tools and emerging design practices to boost speed, creativity, and the overall quality of our healthcare interfaces.
- Partner for Outcomes: Work hand-in-glove with Product Managers and Engineers to map user journeys and ensure designs reflect real user needs, business priorities, and a shared mission of improved healthcare access.
Tech Stack & Tools (The Arsenal)
Your attitude matters more than a long list, but deep fluency in this core stack is non-negotiable.
- Core UI & Prototyping: Your daily driver is Figma. We mean total mastery—components, variants, Auto Layouts, and design system management.
- Design Foundation: A solid working knowledge of Material Design principles and component-driven design is the foundation for everything you build.
- Project Workflow: Experience managing design tasks and tickets within agile sprints using a tool like Jira is a significant advantage.
Requirements (What We Need)
No corporate hoops, just the essentials to hit the ground running and make a visible impact.
- 3+ years of experience as a dedicated UI/UX Designer, specifically within fast-paced, product-focused, agile development teams.
- A strong, well-curated portfolio that clearly demonstrates your design thinking, polished visual execution, and a proven discipline for creating dev-ready, highly organized files in Figma.
- Advanced practical experience with Figma features like complex components, Auto Layout, design tokens, and managing a robust design system.
- Familiarity with the core principles of Material Design.
- Fluent English communication skills—you’ll be part of a distributed, global-minded team.
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!)
These aren't dealbreakers, but they show us you’re thinking bigger than the current sprint.
- Experience in accessibility standards (WCAG) and designing for regulated industries like Healthcare (or similar, complex systems).
- A profound curiosity for how AI/ML will shape future product interfaces and a comfort with experimenting with new tools.
- The ability to explain complex design choices with simple rationale to non-designers (your grandma will totally get it).
- Comfort using Jira or similar product management tools to track your work within an agile setup.
What’s in It for You? (Perks & Benefits)
Join a company that truly values empathy, transparency, and collaboration—a TeamStation AI partner whose culture is built on supporting both the team and the people they serve.
- Competitive Compensation (No lowballing here, we know your value).
- Fully Remote Work (Seriously, anywhere in LATAM).
- Career Growth & Training (We invest in you: Mentorship, upskilling, and a focus on design systems and AI tools).
- Work on Meaningful Products: Have a direct, tangible impact on making mental and behavioral health more accessible and equitable for patients, providers, and care teams every single day.
