Framework Science is looking for a motivated Team Lead - Full Stack Engineer to join and help direct our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to join our early-stage startup and make a significant impact on our SaaS platform. This role is more than just coding. We want someone who is passionate about building applications from vision to production, offering new ideas, and consistently thinking outside the box. This role also provides an opportunity to lead from the front on architecture, best practices, and efficiencies.

We allow automotive dealerships to automate their internal reporting, helping our clients save an enormous amount of time and effort. In seconds, the dealership receives a processed version of their reports, available to post to their dealer management system (DMS).

This represents a 90% time savings for our customers, eliminating the need to rely on Excel/CSV formulas, referencing other internal systems, converting PDFs, etc. The platform ultimately automates manual processes within an organization and the technology has proven applications not just in automotive, but across a number of other verticals.

Qualifications

● Experience leading team of engineers (offshore/onshore) on a daily basis

● Experience with scrum ceremonies including daily standups, retrospectives and estimation

● Prior exposure to defining technical architecture, best engineering practices and automation (CI/CD, unit/end-to-end tests, IAAS) would be a huge plus

● Experience building RESTful APIs using NodeJS

● Experience building front end components using ReactJS/ES7/VueJS

● Experience with asynchronous programming including Promises, async/await, and ES7 generators

● Experience in Git (preferably Github), Bitbucket or other modern code repositories

● Strong bias for action and ownership and prioritize execution

● Ability to work within cloud native applications deployed in AWS infrastructure (code deploy, compute engine, RDS, Lambdas)

Skills

● Full stack engineer in Typescript/Javascript development

● Node.js API development in AWS (lambdas)

● React, Redux and ES6/7 for front end development

● Stylus CSS; exposure to SASS or LESS

● Javascript front-end tools such as yarn and webpack

● Other Javascript skills : Objection.js, Knex.js

● Working knowledge of relational database (mySQL, Postgres); ability to craft and execute queries and navigating a relational datastore

● Deployment: AWS technologies – Lambdas, CloudFormation, Route53, Code Deploy

Bonus

● Previous exposure or desire to build and lead development team

● Previous startup experience would be a huge plus.

● Ability to work with other offshore developers

● Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Wiki and other development tools.
