Job Description
As a Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in automating test cases, improving testing efficiency, and ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of quality. Your main focus will be on creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Microsoft Playwright. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify test requirements, design test plans, and troubleshoot issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Microsoft Playwright.
- Execute and analyze test results to ensure proper functionality and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, and designers) to understand requirements and implement acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through team tracking tools (Azure DevOps)
- Conduct automated regression testing to ensure the software meets the expected quality standards after updates.
- Optimize and improve testing strategies by working with the team to integrate automated tests into continuous integration build and release pipelines.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Mentor the Development Team and contribute to improving overall QA processes.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in QA automation.
- At least 2 years experience with Microsoft Playwright
- Proficiency in TypeScript. Experience with Python and C# a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) for automated testing.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience testing Angular applications a plus.
- Experience with API testing and knowledge of RESTful services.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working in a sprint-based process.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, hybrid team.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience using OAuth in automated tests
- Experience with performance testing tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (particularly Azure).
- ISTQB or similar QA certifications.
