Location: Latin America · Remote
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the secret weapon powering data pipelines and analytics that fuel direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands. Here’s what your dev day might look like:
- Design, develop, and maintain powerful web apps using Ruby on Rails, with a side of SQL sorcery.
- Build and polish Web UI magic using ERB templates, Bootstrap, SASS, and plain ol' JavaScript.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to scope out features and size up dev work like a pro.
- Dive into debugging and performance testing to keep things fast and scalable.
- Tackle business-critical problems head-on and build internal tools when the occasion calls.
- Participate in planning sessions and leave your dev mark on key decisions.

Here’s what’s under the hood:
- Backend: Ruby, Rails, Sidekiq
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, ERB
- Data & Storage: PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery
- Cloud & Infra: AWS S3, AWS Lambda, Heroku, Docker
- Collab & Dev Tools: Git, GitHub, Slack, Asana
Requirements
We’re looking for an engineer who’s hands-on and ready to hit the ground running:
- 3 to 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- Solid communicator who knows how to keep things clear and concise
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (and a little SOAP doesn’t scare you)
- UI chops with HTML, CSS, ERB, and Bootstrap
- Testing mindset with experience writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Proficiency in SQL with one or more of these: PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake
- Familiar with Rails performance profiling, benchmarking, and optimization
- Comfortable working with Git, GitHub, Slack, Asana
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience
Nice-to-Have
Not required, but if you’ve got any of these, we’re already impressed:
- Experience with Docker and Linux CLI tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS Lambda and Heroku
- Passion for clean, scalable architecture and performance tuning
- You’ve worked in the e-commerce or DTC analytics space
