🚀 What You’ll Do

We’re working with a TeamStation AI partner that runs a thriving content and e-commerce platform — subscription models, mobile apps, Shopify storefront, the works. They’ve got real users, real revenue, and (shocker) real technical problems that need solving.

There’s a growing pile of bugs, feature requests, and tech debt whispering “fix me” every day. The leadership team wants to focus on vision and growth — not firefighting mobile crashes or untangling Rails API weirdness.

This is where you come in.

You’re not here to reinvent the wheel. You’re here to keep it rolling smoothly — patch the potholes, grease the gears, and maybe redesign a spoke or two when it makes sense. Your job is to make the tech work so the business can shine.

Here’s how you’ll spend your days:

• Maintain, improve, and debug Ruby on Rails APIs that power mobile apps and subscription systems.
• Wrestle the bugs out of React Native apps (iOS & Android) — especially the fun edge cases that only show up when Mercury is in retrograde.
• Work through a real-world technical backlog — prioritize, communicate, and ship work that actually matters.
• Keep the Shopify storefront humming along (subscriptions, e-commerce logic, integrations).
• Collaborate directly with leadership — translate “the app keeps crashing” into actionable fixes (and maybe explain why without making anyone’s eyes glaze over).
• Own your work — flag risks, suggest improvements, and step up before things break, not after.

• Backend: Ruby on Rails (APIs, subscription logic)
• Mobile: React Native (iOS & Android)

📌 What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves)

• 3+ years of Ruby on Rails development (you know your way around APIs, background jobs, and head-scratching edge cases).
• 2+ years of React Native development (yes, real production apps — not just “I tried the tutorial once”).
• Proven ability to jump into existing codebases and get productive fast (this is not greenfield — it’s the real world).
• Comfortable working across both backend and mobile — you’re not precious about what part of the stack you’re touching, as long as the work gets done.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) — you’ll be communicating directly with leadership, not just through tickets.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills — you don’t wait around for perfect specs to get moving.

• Shopify experience (especially around subscriptions or custom integrations).
• Familiarity with WordPress (helpful, but not critical).
• Background in an agency, consultancy, or startup — you’re used to managing priorities and making decisions.
