Senior DevOps Engineer - Scaling High-Impact Ad Tech Platforms with AI-Powered Precision!
Location: Mexico Remote
Hey there, future teammate. If you’re tired of corporate buzzwords and slow processes, you're in the right place. We're TeamStation AI, and we're partnering with a pioneering technology leader in the global Out-of-Home (OOH) media space. Think massive, high-impact campaigns on digital billboards and public transit screens, all powered by proprietary AI and data science—it's high-stakes, massive-scale, and zero room for downtime.
We need a Senior DevOps Engineer who can treat infrastructure like a critical service, not just a bunch of servers. This is a conversation, not a robot check-list. If you can automate yourself out of a job (and then find the next, bigger problem to solve), let’s talk.
What You'll Do (The Art of Distributed Systems)
- Own the Digital Backbone: You'll be the primary caretaker for a mission-critical, high-traffic platform, ensuring world-class sustainability and performance for our partner's cutting-edge advertising optimization technology.
- Architect for the Next Level: Bring the AWS infrastructure to life by designing and implementing scalable, cost-efficient, and resilient cloud solutions—no more manual button-mashing.
- Master the Pipeline: Drive continuous improvement for the CI/CD pipeline, constantly striving to reduce risk and shave off deployment time (because we hate waiting, and so do our customers).
- Data Whisperer: Keep a watchful eye on our distributed messaging services and databases. You'll ensure our data flows, is managed, and is never the bottleneck for our applications.
- Code the Infrastructure: Use automation and infrastructure-as-code principles to develop and maintain our digital infrastructure, making "manual" a four-letter word.
- Strategize & Document: Move beyond firefighting to focus on the long-term evolution and planning of our IT systems, leaving behind clear, necessary technical documentation for all to enjoy.
Tech Stack & Tools (The Toys You'll Play With)
We're all about the right tool for the right job, and you should be fluent in the modern ecosystem:
- Cloud Foundation:AWS EC2,AWS RDS,AWS S3,AWS EBS,AWS ELB,AWS Route 53, andAWS IAM.
- Containers & Orchestration:Docker ComposeandKubernetes.
- Data & Messaging:PostgreSQL,MySQL,MS SQL,Redis,Kafka, andZookeeper.
- Observability (The "I told you so" Stack):Prometheus,Grafana,CloudWatch,Opsgenie, and theELK Stack(Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Automation: Scripting fluency in languages like Python and Bash is a must-have.
Requirements (What We Need)
We're looking for someone who has genuinely been there and knows the cost of a rushed deploy:
- Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps or Cloud Engineer, ideally supporting high-scale, high-availability platforms.
- The OS: Deep, practical knowledge of Linux systems and operational concepts.
- The Cloud: Expert-level proficiency with AWS services and architecture, beyond just the basics.
- The Code: Strong scripting/automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for infrastructure management, monitoring, and problem-solving.
- The Mindset: A proactive, problem-solving approach. You see an issue and immediately start troubleshooting (the ability to apply logical/scientific thinking to a wide range of problems).
- The Comms: Fluent written and verbal English communication. You'll be working with distributed teams and need to communicate complex issues clearly.
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!)
- Exotic Deployments: Experience with advanced deployment strategies (Canary, Blue/Green) that prevent major incidents.
- Deep Dive: Expert-level database administration experience with any of the relational/non-relational systems in our stack.
- Open Source Love: Active contribution to open-source projects or a history of sharing your knowledge (e.g., tech talks, blogging).
- Explaining Complex Tech: The ability to explain a Kubernetes ingress controller to someone who thinks a cluster is a type of ice cream. (Your grandma will be proud.)
What's in It for You? (Perks & Benefits)
- Competitive Compensation (We don't do lowballing here—talent deserves to be rewarded).
- Fully Remote Work (Finally, a commute that only involves moving to your desk. Candidates must be located in Mexico).
- Career Growth & Training (Regular tech talks, mentorship, and a budget for upskilling to keep your skills sharper than a brand new server rack).
- Real-World Impact: You'll work on exciting, high-stakes projects with our partner in the global media/advertising tech industry, where your daily contributions directly influence billions of advertising impressions worldwide.
