AI Project Manager – The "Digital Cat Herder" for High-Velocity AI

Location: Mexico | Remote

Let’s have an honest conversation. Most Project Management jobs are just professional nagging. You chase people for status updates, you move Jira tickets from "In Progress" to "Done" because the engineer forgot, and you sit in meetings that could have been emails. If you enjoy being a glorious admin assistant with a PMP certification, this role is not for you. Seriously, you will hate it here.

But maybe you're frustrated. Maybe you’re tired of managing projects that don't matter, for products that nobody uses, in a system where "process" is just a fancy word for "slowing things down."

Here is the reality of our TeamStation AI Partner: We are working with a company that is effectively digitizing the physical world. They are the global leaders in Out-of-Home (OOH) media technology. Think about it: applying the same level of data science, AI, and programmatic buying used in digital ads, but for the real world—billboards, transit, the places people actually go. They are building the "operating system" for physical advertising, using massive geospatial datasets and deep learning to measure what used to be unmeasurable.

We need a Project Manager who doesn't just "track tasks," but who understands that building cutting-edge AI software is messy, unpredictable, and incredibly high-stakes. We need someone to bring order to the chaos without killing the creativity.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Execution: You aren't just watching the car drive; you have your hand on the wheel. You will drive the delivery of complex software projects, ensuring the engineering and data teams aren't just busy, but productive.
  • Defend the Engineers: Your job is to be the heat shield. You block the noise, the scope creep, and the "good idea fairies" so your developers can actually write code.
  • Translate "Nerd" to "Business": You speak fluent Agile, but you also speak "ROI" and "Deadline." You’ll bridge the gap between technical complexity and business expectations.
  • Kill the Zombies: Identify and eliminate "zombie meetings" and processes that don't add value. If a ritual isn't helping us ship software, it dies.
  • Orchestrate the Release: Manage the heartbeat of the product—sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives that actually result in improvements, not just venting sessions.

Tech Stack & Tools

Requirements (The "Must-Haves")

  • 6+ years of Technical Project Management experience. You don't need to be a coder, but if you think an API is a type of beer, we have a problem.
  • Experience in Data-Heavy or AdTech environments. You need to understand the lifecycle of data products, not just simple web apps.
  • Agile/Scrum Mastery. You know the rules well enough to know when to break them for the sake of efficiency.
  • Radical Transparency. You are comfortable delivering bad news early. We value "The project is delayed" today over "Surprise! We failed" next week.
  • Fluency in English. You need to be able to debate, persuade, and align teams across the Americas.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points)

  • PMP, CSM, or PSM certifications (It shows you studied the theory, even if reality is different).
  • Experience with Geospatial data or Media Planning workflows.
  • A sense of humor. In this industry, if you can't laugh when things break, you'll cry.

What’s in It for You?

  • Financial Respect: We pay competitive rates because we know good PMs save us money in the long run.
  • Freedom: Fully remote work from anywhere in LATAM. We care about shipping, not sitting.
  • The Challenge: You will be managing projects that involve AI, big data, and real-world impact. No boring CRUD apps here.
  • Growth: You’ll be working alongside some of the sharpest engineers and data scientists in the industry. Iron sharpens iron.
