Data Analyst – The Storyteller of Global Media Data

Location: Mexico | Remote

Let’s talk about your reports. Are you stuck compiling reports that nobody reads, slicing data in Excel because the "BI tool" is a relic from 2005, and only dealing with the simplest SQL queries? If your biggest professional challenge is making sure the pie chart gradient looks nice, you will be bored to tears here.

But maybe you're a Data Analyst who understands that data is the currency of the 21st century, and you're tired of working with small change. You know the difference between reporting what happened and explaining why it matters and what we should do next.

Here is the reality of our TeamStation AI Partner: We operate in the high-stakes, data-driven world of Out-of-Home (OOH) media technology. This means we have colossal amounts of messy, real-world data—geospatial movement, campaign performance, inventory pricing. Your analysis directly feeds the AI and influences millions of dollars in media spend. We don't need you to just pull the numbers; we need you to look at a chaotic sea of data and find the single, simple, actionable truth hidden inside. You are the final quality check before the executives make a decision.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the SQL Maestro: Write and optimize highly complexSQLqueries against massive data warehouses to extract the crucial datasets needed for business and AI performance analysis.
  • Own the Insight: Move beyond descriptive analytics and dive into diagnostic and predictive analysis, identifying root causes for media campaign performance shifts and recommending concrete optimization strategies.
  • Data Storytelling: Design and build executive-level dashboards and visualizations using tools likeTableauorPower BI, translating complex metrics into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with Data Scientists: Collaborate directly with the Data Science and Engineering teams, leveragingDatabricksandPythontools (Pandas) to validate models and ensure production data integrity.
  • Maintain Quality: Act as the final gatekeeper for data quality, ensuring the integrity of reports and the underlying metrics used to measure the global OOH business.

Tech Stack & Tools

Requirements (Mid-Senior/Senior Level)

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst in a complex, data-heavy industry (Ad Tech, Fintech, E-commerce).
  • Expert-level mastery ofSQL—you can handle window functions, recursive CTEs, and query optimization without consulting Stack Overflow every 15 minutes.
  • Strong proficiency in a major visualization tool (Tableaupreferred).
  • Demonstrable ability to usePython(Pandas) for advanced data manipulation and statistical analysis.
  • Experience working with large-scale data platforms likeDatabricks.
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate complex findings with executive presence.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!)

  • Experience with geospatial data analysis.
  • Familiarity with marketing attribution models and media planning metrics.
  • Experience automating recurring reports and building self-service BI tools.
