Most organizations treat the front end as a final coat of paint applied to a backend structure. We don’t. At TeamStation AI, we understand that for high-density digital platforms, front end is the primary domain of ownership. We are scouting for a heavyweight Senior Front End Engineer to join one of our partners in the Professional Services and Digital Platforms industry who views the browser as a sophisticated application runtime rather than a simple document viewer.

In this ecosystem, backend services, enterprise CMS architectures, and APIs exist solely to serve the requirements of browser behavior, performance, and correctness. We are looking for an engineer who can own that gravity.

What You Will Actually Do

Engineer Browser-Centric Platforms where rendering cost, state boundaries, and runtime behavior directly impact business outcomes. You will build systems where security and performance are engineered into the foundation, not bolted on as an afterthought.

Master the Runtime Data Flow by architecting complex state management and data fetching patterns using REST and GraphQL. You must navigate real-world network constraints and backend contracts with surgical precision.

Bridge Design and Systems Logic by translating high-fidelity designs into clean, maintainable, and executable technical solutions. You should be able to reason fluently from pixels to layout to render cycles to JS execution.

Collaborate Across Borders by working directly with cross-functional teams and clients across time zones. You are expected to take command, ask the hard questions early, and align reality with a focus on calm, predictable execution.

Own the System Lifecycle from vague ambiguity to production-ready reality. You understand the long-term cost of technical decisions and optimize for systems that are built to last, not just to demo.

Expert Level Tech Stack and Methods

We expect you to be a web platform engineer anchored in the browser, possessing a deep understanding of the modern JavaScript ecosystem.

  • Advanced Logic and Type Safety includes JavaScript and TypeScript utilized at an expert level for strict type safety, utility types, and complex generic patterns.
  • Engineered UI Architecture centers on React with deep knowledge of reconciliation, fibers, and performance profiling. You know the internal mechanics of the library and when to move beyond them.
  • Modern Build Systems and Rendering utilize Next.js for Server Side Rendering (SSR) and Vite for high-speed development cycles.
  • Performance Engineering focused on Core Web Vitals, critical rendering paths, and reducing Main Thread blocking time. Profiling the browser is a standard part of your workflow.
  • Infrastructure Integration includes Node.js for API orchestration and a utility-level comfort with WordPress and PHP to extend enterprise CMS ecosystems without compromising modern standards.

Front End Depth We Expect (The Must-Haves)

  • Deep Browser Knowledge: You understand how browsers actually work—parsing, style calculation, and painting—not just how to write React components.
  • Runtime Diagnosis: You are comfortable using Browser DevTools to diagnose complex layout, rendering, hydration, and runtime memory leaks.
  • Systemic Awareness: You know exactly when a front end architectural decision creates a backend bottleneck or a security risk.
  • Data Integrity: You can design predictable data flows and understand the difference between transient UI state and persistent server state.
  • First-Class Tooling: You treat HTML and CSS (Grid, Flexbox, BEM) as first-class engineering tools, not just styling wrappers.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience building and shipping high-traffic, production-grade web applications.
  • Expert level proficiency in React and the web platform where you understand the browser as a runtime environment.
  • Proven ability to design and implement GraphQL and RESTful architectures that support complex business logic.
  • Experience with automated testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing with tools like Jest or Cypress.
  • Fluent English and the ability to articulate technical trade-offs to both executive stakeholders and fellow expert engineers.
  • A focus on calm execution, zero ego, and absolute follow-through.

What is in It for You

  • Competitive Compensation: We do not lowball talent; we value the deep expertise you bring to the table.
  • Fully Remote Work: Anywhere in LATAM with no commute and no open office distractions.
  • Career Growth: Work on exciting real-world projects with a sane architecture and competent adults.
  • Engineering First Culture: Decisions are explained, not hand-waved, and accountability exists without heroics or panic.
