SAP Finance Specialist – Guardian of Global Financial Integrity!

Location: Latin America — Fully Remote

What You'll Do

• Own the configuration and support of core SAP Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Assets, Banking) for a global consumer products company.
• Act as the first line of defense during critical month-end and quarter-end close cycles, ensuring system stability, accuracy, and traceability.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and control over system changes, creating the configuration workbooks and transport logs that auditors love to see.
• Collaborate with functional, technical, and finance teams to resolve defects, validate changes, and proactively identify risks before they impact the business.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on how SAP configuration decisions directly impact financial reporting, audit trails, and operational efficiency.

• Reporting: SAP Analysis for Office (AFO)

Requirements

• 5+ years of deep, hands-on configuration experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA Finance modules.
• Proven expertise in General Ledger, AP, AR, and Asset Accounting, including the intricate details of company code setup, posting periods, payment programs, and depreciation.
• A rock-solid understanding of the financial close process and how configuration controls can make or break it.
• Impeccable discipline around documentation, transport procedures (DEV → QA → PRD), and change traceability.
• Full professional fluency in English and experience working a nearshore schedule aligned with US Eastern Time business hours.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!)

• Awareness of how FI integrates with and is impacted by other modules (CO, MM, SD).
• Experience with SAP Analysis for Office (AFO) reporting.
• Understanding of authorization concepts, segregation of duties (SoD), and their impact on system security.
