A TeamStation AI partner in the enterprise IT services sector is looking for an Active Directory & Intune Migration Engineer to support a large-scale identity infrastructure consolidation. You'll join as a dedicated resource on a focused migration workstream, working closely with an internal infrastructure lead to move systems and users onto a unified, modern environment — no juggling five unrelated projects at once.
What You'll Do
- Migrate virtual machines and endpoints from a legacy Active Directory domain into a consolidated, primary Active Directory domain.
- Support the transition of managed endpoints from on-premises Active Directory management to Microsoft Intune.
- Troubleshoot authentication, access, and connectivity issues that surface for end users during live domain migrations.
- Coordinate migration activity in step with parallel network infrastructure changes, including firewall replacements and site-to-site VPN rollouts.
- Work across a primarily on-premises virtualized environment, with some workloads and identity services integrated in Azure.
- Communicate migration status, risks, and blockers clearly to the internal infrastructure lead.
Tech Stack & Tools
Identity & endpoint management: Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID
Virtualization: VMware vSphere
Automation: PowerShell
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience executing Active Directory domain migrations, including trust configuration and Group Policy considerations.
- Experience migrating endpoints from on-prem AD management to Intune, including enrollment and policy migration.
- Working knowledge of hybrid identity setups and Entra ID synchronization.
- Experience migrating VMware virtual machines across environments, including cross-domain re-platforming of Windows Server and desktop VMs.
- Scripting and automation skills to support bulk, repeatable migration tasks across large VM and endpoint populations.
- Strong troubleshooting ability for authentication, GPO, DNS, and access issues surfaced by live domain transitions.
- Comfort owning a dedicated workstream independently while coordinating closely with an internal infrastructure lead.
Bonus Points
- Experience with firewall or network transitions running in parallel with identity migrations.
- Experience across multiple data center or co-location environments.
- Prior experience on M&A-driven IT consolidation projects, merging two distinct Active Directory environments.
You don't need bonus-point experience to be a strong fit — these are nice-to-haves, not requirements.
What's in It for You
- 100% remote engagement.
- Exposure to a meaningful, large-scale infrastructure consolidation project.
