Senior Active Directory and VMware Migration Engineer
A TeamStation AI partner needs one senior, dedicated, remote engineer to own a six month post merger infrastructure migration workstream. The engineer will work directly with the infrastructure lead, align with Eastern Time, and support completion by end of Q4 2026.
Core work
1. Migrate 1,800 legacy virtual machines into the primary environment.
2. Execute Active Directory domain consolidation across live production systems.
3. Migrate workloads across VMware vSphere and vCenter environments into a consolidated vCenter cluster spanning three locations.
4. Use PowerShell to automate repeatable, large scale migration tasks.
5. Troubleshoot GPO, DNS, authentication, access, and connectivity issues during live migrations.
6. Participate in firewall, VPN, networking, and identity discussions and troubleshooting as migrations happen. Network administration ownership is not part of this role.
7. Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and blockers clearly to the infrastructure lead.
Minimum requirements
1. Senior, hands on Active Directory domain migration experience.
2. Direct VMware vSphere and vCenter migration experience from day one, including large scale VM moves.
3. PowerShell scripting and bulk migration automation.
4. Strong GPO, DNS, authentication, access, and connectivity troubleshooting.
5. Working knowledge of firewall, VPN, networking, and identity concepts.
6. Strong business English.
7. Eastern Time alignment.
8. Ability to independently own a six month migration workstream.
9. Located in Mexico, Colombia, or Brazil.
Preferred experience
1. Microsoft Intune and end user device management.
2. Microsoft Entra ID.
3. M&A infrastructure consolidation.
4. Multi site data center or colocation environments.
Intune ownership, end user device management, network administration, certifications, security clearance, and data center travel are not required.
